Welcome to Coombe Crag Farm

Coombe crag farm is a working dairy / sheep family farm situated on Hadrian's Roman Wall.

The campsite offers a basic but relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for families, couples, cyclists, walkers and all those travelling the Cumbrian section of the historic Roman wall route.

Location

We are situated 1.5 miles from Birdoswald Roman fort and Lanercost Priory. You will be camping adjacent to a roman quarry and a stones throw from the remains of the walled turret 51A.

Costs

We can offer tent camping only.

Charges are:

  • £7.50 per person per night
  • £5 per child

Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads and under close control at all times for the benefit of other campers.

  • £1.50 per dog per night

Site Rules

Cars cannot be parked on the campsite area as access is along a short woodland path.

Cars can be parked on the nearby roadside.

Strictly no camp fires of any kind to protect nearby woodland.

BBQ's for cooking only — please use the bricks provided.
